QueenSylvia Akuchie is a trailblazer in the world of costume design, visual storytelling, and creative production. With over 20 years of experience across fashion, textile, costume design, and image consulting, she has built a career rooted in intention, cultural resonance, and visual excellence.


A visionary in her craft, Akuchie made history as the first costume designer for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Her impressive résumé includes collaborations with Hollywood legends such as Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, and Tyler Perry.


Her Work was featured on the hit series Bel-Air, where she helped redefine contemporary Black style on screen. 

Akuchie’s strength lies in her ability to align a director’s vision with each character’s emotional truth

ensuring actors feel grounded, empowered, and fully immersed in their roles.
