As a first generation American QueenSylvia Akuchie is the daughter of Nigerian Immigrants. Queensylvia knew the world was in her hands after learning and understanding what her parents had endured in their home county of Nigeria. She knew she could achieve her highest achievements as all the avenues and opportunities were at her disposal.

Queensylvia came to fashion design in College when creative urges overcame her passion for the study of law. After graduating from her University studies Queensylvia dived head on in the film industry landing her first film working in the costume department. It was there she knew this was her calling. While in Atlanta, Akuchie became a rising star in the fashion industry. Before moving to Los Angeles she was styling some of the most recognizable talents in the world.

Her talent has led to many opportunities, including being the first Costume Designer to design for the OWN network. She has worked with the likes of Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Tyler Perry and much more. QueenSylvia’s goal is to bring the directors vision to the screen while making the cast feel comfortable within their character. Queensylvia’s focus on filmmaking is bringing the story to life, character design, budget management and time management. She is a collaborator who listens, learns and then dazzles.
